It’s already a been a ding-dong-ding-dong, merry goo year for Tony, T.J. and Producer Casey. This week, they celebrate the 60th anniversary of “Please Please Me”, and also (#9 #9 #9) dream about what Beatles goodies and re-re-re-re-re-re-re-reissues (#nowwithmoregnomes) await us in The Jordan Year!

The Road to the Rock Hall (A Very Special Untitled Beatles Field Trip Part 1)

At long last (and maybe against the terms of their parole?) the guys take the show across state lines as they hit the highway on their pilgrimage to see "The Beatles: Get Back to Let it Be" at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Tony made the mistake of letting T.J. map the trip, so there might've been a couple detours to various record stores involved.

This week T.J. and Tony grapple with the permutations of the Fab Thirteen post-breakup compilations - from the "Red & Blue" LPs to the Tomorrow Never Knows iTunes cash grab.
T.J. takes his case for "Please Please Me" appearing on a greatest hits album to the Supreme Court, while Tony throws down the gauntlet on the "so good" Neil Diamond phenomenon. Plus, ramblings on gas station pizza, the true origins of the fajita and that band LinkedIn Park.
Fact cheque: The Outback Steakhouse douchebags were from Florida, not New Jersey. Also, Tony meant "She's A Woman - Take 7", not take 6.
Irregardless (that's a word now), file this episode under Rock.

George Fest (2014/2016) Part 1

Many moons ago, back in 2014, an enterprising young chap named Dhani Harrison assembled a mighty crew of musicians in Los Angeles, CA, to pay homage to his late, great father George. And ho boy did the musicians turn out.
We're not quite sure who they are, since none of us owns a physical copy of the 2016 DVD and CD release of "George Fest", but they sure sound good.
